Bright Lips for Summer!

Long story short, I've had this post in draft since March.... I know, who does that? Anyway there was a whole bunch of stuff in here about the weather, so it doesn't matter much now because it's July! I definitely won't be referring to specific dates and times anymore, unless I'm posting right then and there... Lesson learned.

So, it's time to start easing into the neon and bright trend. Besides incorporating it into your wardrobe, you can easily do a pop of color on your lips. When you're sporting a neutral eye, which the majority of us do everyday, it's super easy to add a bright lip because it won't clash with your makeup. It's also the easiest way to brighten up any look, especially when you're wearing a white tee and some jean shorts! There are so many options out there but here are a few of my favorites!

I've done a short post already on orange lips that you can check out here. So I won't be repeating those products in this post, but I will be showing more orange lip colors plus hot pinks, corals, and more! I've included more than just lip swatches so you can get a better idea of the true color of lipsticks although it's still sometimes hard. 1.  Neon Pink from Bobbi Brown's Neons and Nudes Collection $23
      - (Not pictured in the group swatches above) This is totally a NEON, bright pink! It's showing up here a little more fuchsia, but it's really not. It's really long wearing and it leaves a nice stain on your lips even after you've eaten and wiped it off.

2. Maybelline Color Sensational 515 Coral Crush 

   - I totally love this color! It's a super bright coral. I also really like this line of lipsticks. They're rather moisturizing and easy to wear.

3. Revlon 677 Siren (Creme)

   - This is a true orange. It's pretty deep and dark, and really creamy. It's not the easiest color to wear, but if you've been looking for an orange and don't want to dish out loads of money on a color you won't be wearing every day, I would check this out for sure!

4. MAC Viva Glam Nicki (Satin)

  - At first glance, and definitely on me, this look a bit, well, porn star pink. It's just a little cool toned. But, there's definite touches of coral in there too. But, if you think about it, it's a Nicki Minaj lipstick... I do like it, it's super pretty, but I don't think I'll be wearing it alone like this very often. I have however worn it dabbed on my lips and with a gloss on top!
