The best season for TV.... FALL!

If you don't follow me on Twitter, then you may not know that I am a massive TV junkie/enthusiast/aficionado, etc. I watch an excessive amount of television, and I'll be the first to admit it. But I'd like to think I watch a pretty wide range of genres. From trashy, reality TV, to true action packed dramas and even a few good comedies in between. Now that Fall is upon us, new seasons and new series have already begun and a handful are still on their way, which is why I decided to do this! If you're anything like me, or even if you just watch a few great shows and are looking for something new to watch, keep reading to find out what I'm loving this season!

This dress is everywhere!

After watching the season premiere of Pretty Little Liras, which always has some of the most interesting fashion on television, I saw the preview for next week and spotted a dress on Aria that I've seen a couple times! I've actually seen the exact one she was wearing on Mads on an episode of The Lying Game. But, I've also seen it worn in white by Fiona in the killer season 5 finale of Burn Notice on USA. It's funny to me that two shows on the same network would use the same dress, although I'm sure Aria will be styling hers with some hideous boots so it won't look as good as Mads did. Regardless, this dress has received quite the publicity and become very popular. It's also not all that expensive, considering.

So, what dress am I talking about that's been all over television lately? This All Saints dress.  It's $180 but unless you're really tiny or a size 10, don't get too excited because the most popular sizes are sold out.. Wonder why? The more I see this though, the more I like it, so all the publicity it's getting or whatever you want to call it, is working!

As seen on Aria in Pretty Little Liars, Blood is the New Black

As seen on Mads in The Lying Game, Double Dibs.

As seen on Fiona in Burn Notice, Fail Safe Season 5 Finale

Thoughts on this dress?

As far as tv goes, Pretty Little Liars is back with a new season now on ABC on Tuesdays at 8pm. As for The Lying Game, apparently it's not set to return until January 2nd of 2013, which sounds ridiculous, but I have it on good authority. But fear not because, the much anticipated return of Burn Notice is right around the corner, June 14th to be exact! I can not even wait!! If you're not watching, you need to be!

People's Choice Awards!

As you may or may not know, I m obsessed with TV. I watch way too much of it, but I have a bunch of favorite shows that I live tweet to often, I just can't help it! To go along with that, I also love movies and music just as much as the next person, which is why I wanted to mention the PCA's. The People's Choice Awards is one of the best award shows, in my opinion, because we get to vote! I hate when you're watching those fancy award shows and some random movie or actor that you've never heard of wins. What's the point in that? The fans are the ones that watch the shows, go to the movies and buy the CD's.

This year was especially amazing for Vampire Diaries fans as they used the write in section during the nominations portion of the voting to get Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder on the ballots! I think I've mentioned before how insanely amazing the TVD fandom is and this is just another way of showing it. Now, we just need to get them to win! Ian and Nina are nominated for Favorite TV Drama actor and actress respectively, and The Vampire Diaries is up for both Favorite Network TV Drama and Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy Show. They really want to win by the way.... They are so cute and totally deserve this!

Some of my other favorite shows are nominated as well if you need something to vote for while you're there. White Collar is nominated for Favorite Cable TV Drama, Revenge is up for Favorite New TV Drama (I guess I like DRAMA lol), and New Girl is up for Favorite New TV Comedy.

Concerning the movies, The Help was one of my favorites and will likely win all three of the categories it's in because it was such a great movie! Also, I love me some Fast Five, and Emma Stone is a great actress!

Last but not least, music. Adele. Also, I love Beyonce, especially her Run the World (Girls) music video!

So, since it's up to us, make sure you vote for your favoites! You can vote on the PCA website, you can tweet your votes, and RT for extra votes. You can also vote via Facebook. After you vote in each category they give you the option to share on Twitter or Facebook and that's how you can get more people to vote! You can vote as many times as you want and you can vote as a guest, you don't need to vote as a member, unless you want a chance to win a trip to the PCA's.

Voting ends December 6th, 11:59 EST so get voting! The show airs January 11, 2012 on CBS, check your local listings as it gets closer.

You can follow PCA on Facebook and on Twitter to stay in the know about the nominees and exclusive details about the show.

'The Vampire Dairies' rave & review! The End of the Affair

If you follow me on twitter, or perhaps have ever see my tumblr, you already know how much I love The Vampire Diaries. I'll try not to get into my profound love for the show too much here and get straight to my recap of last nights show, but I do feel like I need to give a little bit of why I am so obsessed with it because I've never talked about it on here before. Since I could go on forever about the things I love about the show, I'll try my best to sum it up. Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev, and Paul Wesley lead the stellar cast whose chemistry is beyond words. Yes, there are vampires, obviously, and there are also witches and even werwolves, but it's more than just supernatural. Family drama, heart break and love triangles, unknown mystery and the best cliffhangers you've ever witnessed in your life. Oh, and did I mention the super hot and talented cast? The Vampire Diaries just started season three on the CW network, and I urge everyone to watch it, but from the beginning! If you start now, it's pretty safe to say you'll be pretty lost and asking a lot of questions. You'll appreciate the growth of the show and the characters, and the ones we've lost along the way as well, if you start from the top.

So, if you've never seen the show, then I hope you check it out, Thursday, 8pm, CW, go, you won't be sorry; but I apoligize if you have no idea what I'm talking about as I keep going. If you do watch the show, but haven't seen the latest episode yet, then you may want to wait to read this because there may be slight spoilers. Otherwise, I hope you all enjoy and have the same love for TVD as me!

Last night's episode was insane. I hesitate to even say it was one of my favorites, because that list is forever growing and the writers just keep topping themselves, but okay, it was one of my favorites. Not your normal flashback episode, it was so much more, and my favorite flashback by far, that I can say! Maybe because of the time period, the twenties, or maybe because Stefan and Rebecca made it look so appealing, I just wanted to be there, (I have a feeing this halloween will be filled with fabulous flappers and rippahs thanks to this one.) But, one of the reasons I knew I had to watch this episode a few more times was because Damon was freaking hilarious. His sarcastic wittiness, mixed with his sexy, "Damon eyes," were better than ever last night. I mean the one liners just kept coming! I had to rewind a couple times during the actual show to make sure I didn't miss anything and I've already watched this episode three times and caught a few more things that I didn't catch the first time around. But, I didn't just re-watch because of Damon, although that's reason enough for me, but because of how 'epic' the show was last night. The 'killer,' no pun intended, flash back where, may I say, Stefan was hotter and more in charge than ever, mixed with more originals, it was crazy good. (Since I mentioned how hot Stefan looked in the '20s, I have to pause, because Klaus made note of his hair back in the day, which made me laugh, because the way hair on this show is practically it's own character. It's too funny, I love it. Back to the roaring twenties.) It made me wish I was there with them, back in the '20s, until I realized my name would have ended up on Stefan's shrine, and it wouldn't have had a '4 eva-->' next to it anywhere. Bummer. However, what Stefan later found in his closet that night was a great surprise and the way it played out was PERFECT! I so did not think what he found was going to be wine, but didn't really think he would give her up either. There were also some intense Caroline, Tyler, Sheriff & Dad scenes that I can't neglect to mention. Boy was I glad to see Caroline's mom & Tyler walking down those stairs. But, it was kind of hard for me to go from the twenties, to Caroline burning in the basement, back to the twenties or present day Chicago...Then I got over it because Tyler did his thing, and the sparks flew as usual. Oh, and one other thing, just a minor detail, Katherine's back.

Overall, this was seriously an amazing episode. You really have to watch it to appreciate it, but I'm going to end this with some of the best Damon quotes of the night; it was kind of chock-full of them. Also, some people around the Vampire Diaries following like to give out 'awards' at the end of every episode, but I really don't think I could do it for this one. Everyone was stellar, and delivered as usual, but everyone was way too good, I can't decide. Don't make me. So, onto Damonisms, enjoy.

"You know you were dreaming about me, it explains the drool."-Damon

"It came to me in a dream. I was naked, you would have loved it."-Damon

"Let's just say he's not there to meet Oprah." -Damon

"I'm shocked! Stefan's not a virgin?!"-Damon

"Eyes on the road grandma." -Elena
"Fine, back to my game. Tell me when you see a Florida plate."- Damon

"Get dressed, you're all road-trippy and gross."- Damon

"She's not going anywhere until she's got you checked into vampire rehab and on the mend. Trust me, I've tried."- Damon

So, what do you think? Do any of you watch the show? If you do, what did you think of last nights episode, and if you don't, well why not?!

It's up to us!

Yesterday, the nominees for the 2011 People's Choice Awards were announced. Among the nominees, The Vampire Diaries is up for Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy Show and Favorite TV Drama and Ian Somerhalder is in the running for Favorite TV Drama Actor. For those of us who are Vampire Diaries fans, we were very excited to see the show recognized in these three categories, but felt that there was still someone missing. NINA DOBREV! Hello! Not only is she an amazing actress, but she plays two rolls on the same show. Not just two rolls, but two very opposite rolls of two characters with two very different personalities (not to mention the fact that the one girl she plays is a vampire who's centuries old, and the other is a teenage human, no biggie). She defiantly should be recognized for her outstanding performances week to week, but this time, she was overlooked. However, the afore mentioned categories that the show and Ian are nominated for are must wins! The show has become a huge hit and Ian is not only an amazing actor that is pretty much the polar opposite of the vampire he plays on the show, but he is such a deserving person for this award.
What I particularly enjoy about the People's Choice Awards is just that, it's the people's choice, as Ian himself recognized via twitter.

ian somerhalder The People's Choice Awards is a MOJOR awards show that is determined by you guys (the fans) so we may just have a fighting chance:)

Beyond my obsession with The Vampire Diaries, which by the way was not included in the category for Favorite TV Obsession, I also am thrilled to mention that Law and Order SVU, Burn Notice and White Collar were all nominated as well. Only problem is, Burn Notice and White Collar are in the same category, Favorite TV Obsession, so I'm almost glad that The Vampire Diaries didn't make the cut for this one since it's hard enough as it is. I've decided every time I vote in that particular category, I'm going to alternate my votes because I truly love both of those shows. Also, I was very excited to see that both Revenge Of The Bridesmaids and Better With You, staring the lovely Joanna Garcia, are nominated as well!

So there you have it, we the fans have the power to show our favorite shows, actors, movies and more our support by heading over to http://www.peopleschoice.com/pca/ and voting for them every day. You can also vote via twitter and every retweet counts as a vote! Voting ends on December 7th, and the award show will be on January 5th 2011 on CBS.
