China Glaze Crackle Glaze!

Crackles are all the rage lately so I was super excited when I heard China Glaze was coming out with different colored Crackle polishes. I picked up two, Cracked Concrete, a grey concrete color, similar to China Glaze Recycle, and Crushed Candy, which is a really pretty turquoise color similar to For Audrey. So far I have only tried Cracked Concrete and included the swatches below and will for sure do a post when I do my nails with Crushed Candy!

As you can see with crackle polish it's going to be very hard to get the same crackle twice. When I was doing my nails I neglected to shake the bottle for the first two fingers I did which were my pinky and my ring finger. The difference is, when I painted my pinky nail I got a good amount of product on the brush so it was ok, my ring finger was ok too, but it was more liquid and less of the actual polish which is why the crackle is very small. So then I shook the bottle for the rest of my nails to the effect you see. I really like how the middle finger and pointer finger came out, it looks like real concrete!

As you can see here, in the middle, towards the top of my nail, there's space where polish is missing. This didn't happen to all of my nails, but it happened to a few, so I don't know how that happened, but maybe I put too much polish on a few nails and therefor some didn't dry long enough? Either way, make sure you let your base color COMPLETELY dry. I would say for at lease 15 to 20 minutes just to be safe, especially if you use two coats of something. It may seem a little excessive, but to those of you that know nail polish you know your nails aren't fully dry for over an hour.
